Aethaelias: 5th floor, room 24.

Day 1 - Evening

Aethaelias opened the door of his room and looked around. There was a lot of space in the living room, he thought. He entered the actual dorm and saw two beds, together with twin desks. 'Oh, right. I might be living with someone else'. He didn't care much, as long as the other one didn't bother much. He liked having a room for himself, and he didn't mind sleeping with someone else. But if the other one touched his books without asking, he was dead.

He put his bag on one of the desks, automatically claiming the right side for himself. He always slept with the wall to his left. He took the books he had borrowed from the library for the Banned Spells assignment. He read the titles again: 'Forbidden Spells: the most dangerous kind', 'De los Hechizos Prohibidos y los peligros que conllevan', 'Sorts Interdits: le grand mystère', 'Kinmotsu no Kashiri' and 'The Dangers of Magic'. He had already read the first one while walking around the Academy. Four more to go. He decided to leave it for later and entered the bathroom. He took his clothes off, leaving Paulo, his white mouse, carefully on the floor, and stepped under the hot water of the shower. Paulo immediately exited the bathroom to explore the room.

Aethaelias thought about his first day at school: he had met the Alchemy teacher, Rororina, in his Banned Spells class. Even though he hadn't signed up for Alchemy, because he had too many subjects already, she had told him that she could teach him Alchemy classes on his free time. That had been really nice of her. He felt his time in the Academy was going to be great.

He turned off the shower, dried himself with a big towel and went back to the dorm room. He put on a comfortable blue and white pyjamas, and sat on his bed, with one of the library books on his lap. It was getting dark, so he thought it might be a good time to practice for the Fire assignment. He moved Paulo, who had already fallen asleep, to a more comfortable place on the bed. He concentrated for a few seconds, and a flame appeared, right above his left index finger. It gave just the perfect amount of light. He opened the 'De los Hechizos Prohibidos' and started reading, thanks to his own fire.

Day 2 - Morning

Aethaelias woke up and opened his eyes. He felt disoriented for a couple of seconds, until he remembered he was at the Academy. He sat up, put his glasses on, reached down for his oneironaut journal and spent fifteen minutes writing. Paulo had already woken up, and was walking around the room. When he finished writing, he stood up and looked out of the window. Judging by the light, it was about six in the morning. The sun would come up soon. He got a bag of cookies from his bag, opened the window and sat on the windowsill, feet and back against the walls. He raised Paulo, who was waiting in front of the window, and put him on his lap. He reached for a cookie, while the sun appeared from behind the mountains.

The dawn was his favorite moment of the day. A lot of people preferred the twilight, but he didn't find it too appealing. He had once read "The day has its own sounds, and the night too. But there's only one moment when everything's quiet, and that is the dawn." He loved that peace. And the color of the sky was at its best: the lightest blue of the day. That peaceful color was the perfect image of his personality: calm and quiet.

He waited there, looking out and eating cookies, for about half an hour. At six and a half he put his feet on the floor and stood up. He changed into a shirt and black pants, grabbed his bag and Paulo and exited the room. That moment of the day would be perfect to explore the quiet corridors.
